Review

This review applies to version 3.5 The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our informers.

Magic RM RAM to MP3 Converter allows you to convert Real media formats to MP3. This little, nice application resembles the interface of a Mac application and, like most, Mac applications, it is really simple and easy to use. The first time you execute this application, you can start adding files. Once you have your Real Media (RM, RAM) files added, the application can be configured to deliver a finalized MP3 file. If you have an MP3 file, you can also convert it to RM or RAM. You can even rip the audio out of a Real Media video file into an MP3 file. The user interface is really intuitive, so you won't be needing to read any manuals to convert your files. As many other applications do, Magic RM RAM to MP3 Converter supports batch-processing mode, which allows you to convert several files at once. The conversion speed is on par with most other applications in the market and the final product is of great quality. The speed is dependent on the resources available on your computer, though. All in all, this is a nice converter, which works great and will help you convert your RM files to MP3.

Note: I don't really know why, but the first time I installed the application it couldn't a "suitable" codec for my files, so I reinstalled my usual codec pack and it worked just fine.
Advantages
  • Simple interface.
  • Good operation.
Disadvantages
  • Minor bugs.
